Amanda Sellers is a meditation teacher and full-time voice actor. Her path to this work has included theatre school, singing in a rock band, working as a radio DJ and reaching the finals of Miss Vancouver. She has also been a three-time Voice Arts Awards nominee.
Meditation became a tremendous tool in her own life. Through daily practice she has been able to heal, or at least better manage, stress, insecurities, trauma and the balance between motherhood and work. She describes herself as driven, passionate and goal-oriented, and she aims to live on purpose through conscious manifestation and intention.
Her guided meditations, visualizations and relaxation recordings are made freely available on YouTube. They are designed to work with mind, body and spirit, and are made with care because she has benefited from this kind of help herself. She also hosts a podcast.
Amanda is a mom of two boys, a nature lover, a triathlete and a half marathoner. She calls herself a possibilitarian and a light seeker. Her aim is to uplift others as they discover their potential and move past limiting beliefs, stress, fear and doubt.
Worth Knowing
Amanda Sellers is a multi-hyphenate practitioner working across voice acting, meditation teaching, and podcast hosting — though these aren't separate silos but expressions of the same core work: learning to use voice, breath, and intention with presence. As a three-time Voice Arts Awards nominee in commercial voice acting, she brings technical skill and ear-training to her guided meditations and visualizations, which are freely available on YouTube. Her particular appeal rests on her background: she's not a monastic teacher descended from a centuries-old tradition, but rather someone who arrived at meditation and breathing practice as a personal healing tool, then saw how these practices helped her manage stress, insecurity, trauma, and the real-world balance between motherhood and professional ambition. Listeners are drawn to her because she speaks from lived experience of burnout and recovery, and because her recordings reflect professional audio standards rather than bedroom-recorded guidance. Her approach to conscious manifestation and intention-setting through practice attracts students who are drawn to the intersection of mindfulness and active personal agency.
