Sleep Meditations for Kids: Craft& Affirmation in Guided Calm

New Horizon

Your child closes their eyes. A calm voice speaks: "Close your eyes and make yourself comfortable. Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through your mouth." Three cycles of breath, then the voice shifts. The room dissolves. A green field materializes—sun bright, birds singing, visible for miles. The child is drifting, not asleep, but untethered. Then: a rainbow. Not static, but alive, moving like a conveyor, lifting the child upward. They climb higher, able to touch the colors themselves. Then the rainbow tips forward. The child is sliding, wind whipping through their hair. They're laughing so hard their stomach hurts. At the bottom: a trampoline. Each bounce shows new vistas—mountains, flowers never seen before. And then, through the haze of wonder: unicorns. A sign that reads "Welcome to Unicornia." A princess with a diamond-encrusted spiral horn, silver mane shot through with pink, hooves that make no sound. She has a message: "Magic is real. You must always believe in yourself and that you are so very special."

This is not the bedtime story you'd read aloud. It's a guided meditation—structured, paced, just under ninety minutes long—that has been listened to nearly five million times on YouTube alone. The channel that created it, New Horizon, describes its purpose plainly: to help with "Sleep, Anxiety, Stress, Worry, Relaxation and expanding the imagination." But what's remarkable about this particular meditation isn't just its reach; it's the craft behind it. Within the whimsy of unicorns and crystal palaces lies a sophisticated architecture: the careful sequencing of breath work, progressive relaxation, sensory imagery, and embedded affirmations. Each element serves a purpose. Each image builds on what came before. The result is a structure that feels almost musical in its progression—a composition designed not to entertain but to guide the listening mind and body toward a state of genuine rest.

How the Body Learns to Let Go

The meditation begins exactly where all meditation begins: with attention to breath. For the first minute, the child is simply guided through the mechanics of slow breathing—in through the nose, out through the mouth. There's nothing complicated about this. What's happening is physiological: slow breathing shifts the body's nervous system toward relaxation. Heart rate lowers. The body receives the signal: You are safe now.

Only after this physiological anchor is established does the narrator invite imagery. "Now bring your breathing back to its normal rhythm, feeling your chest rise and fall gently. Feeling peaceful and calm, feeling very relaxed." Notice the construction: the child isn't told to become peaceful; they're invited to feel peaceful, as if that state already exists within them and they're simply noticing it. This is the language of therapeutic guidance—never commanding, always inviting.

Then comes the first image: a large green field. The sun shines brightly. "You can hear birds singing to each other." Each sensory detail offers the anxious mind something specific to fasten onto—a bird's call, the warmth of sun, the texture of grass—rather than allowing it to spiral into worry about tomorrow or unfinished business. The child is learning, without being told, how to anchor attention. This is the foundation of meditation itself.

The Rainbow as Threshold

The shift from grounding to imagination happens at the rainbow. Looking up at the sky, the child sees "a beautiful rainbow of many colors. The colors are so bright and so clear. Can you see how the colors sparkle and shine? Can you see how the colors look almost alive?" The rainbow isn't described as static. It moves. Then comes the revelation: "the rainbow is moving. It's actually a moving walkway."

This is a crucial narrative moment. The child has been invited to use their imagination to fill in sensory details, and now the story itself validates that imagination by making it real within the narrative. The rainbow is whatever color they pictured. Its movement is what they imagined. The story isn't imposed; it's co-created. And when the child steps onto this moving rainbow—when it begins to climb—they are no longer passively listening. They are actively participating in their own transportation toward safety.

The descent down the rainbow functions as both release and play. "You are sliding down the rainbow. The rainbow is like a great big water slide with beautiful colors all around you and you are going faster and faster. The wind is whipping through your hair making it fly everywhere. This makes you laugh out loud. You are laughing so hard that your tummy starts to hurt." In the context of a sleep meditation, humor might seem strange. But laughter is a form of nervous-system release. A child who is laughing is a child who is releasing tension—the kind of release that prepares the body for rest.

The Bounce as Expansion

At the base of the rainbow stands a trampoline. The child bounces higher and higher. From each apex of the bounce, new beauty comes into view: "many many fields and mountains and you can see beautiful flowers too you've never seen them before either. It's absolutely breathtaking to see such beauty." This is systematic expansion. Each bounce reveals more. The world is not threatening; it is vast and generous and full of beauty. And the child's position—at the highest point of each bounce—is one of power and wonder, not helplessness.

The meditation is doing something essential here: it's occupying the child's mind with possibility. Instead of worry, there is wonder. Instead of rumination, there is motion. Instead of the mind dwelling in fear, it is traveling through beauty. This is the work of guided meditation—redirecting attention rather than suppressing it.

When the Witness Appears

The unicorns arrive not as threat but as recognition. "They are not scared of you at all. In fact they come up to you and say hello. Yes these beautiful and special beings can talk too. They are very magical beings and they always know the truth of things." Let that phrase land: they always know the truth of things. In a world where an anxious child often doubts themselves, this is powerful. Here is a being—wise, magical, unjudging—who can see the truth about who this child actually is.

The unicorns ask the child's name. They want to know how the child arrived in Unicornia. And the narrator explains: "only very special good kind people can find the rainbow to unicornia." The message arrives not as affirmation imposed from outside but as discovered truth within the story itself. To have found your way here is proof that you are special. That you are good. That you are kind. A child listening understands this wordlessly.

The Princess as Mirror

Then the character who will become central to the entire meditation appears: the princess unicorn. She is described with almost heraldic precision—white coat silky and shiny, diamond-encrusted spiral horn with pink crystals at the crown, silver mane with pink speckles, silver hooves that make no sound as she moves. She is beautiful but not intimidating. She is powerful but not distant. She is "about the same age as you." She is an ideal witness to the child's own becoming.

The princess's teaching is both magical and developmentally wise: "Magic is real. She tells you you must always believe in yourself and that you are so very special just like her. She is very gentle and loving and you can feel the love she has for you because she loves all beings. She loves each and every one of us equally. No matter how different we may look from each other she only sees the beautiful person we truly are." The child is being seen, not critiqued. Loved, not conditionally. Accepted exactly as they are. This kind of complete, unconditional acceptance is what the princess embodies and offers.

The Palace as Inner Sanctuary

The journey into the crystal palace represents a descent from external wonder into the landscape of the self. The palace "shines and sparkles in the sunlight. It is so beautiful, so magnificent." The child is invited to explore, to "go and see her bedroom and what exciting things she has in there." The palace becomes a space of intimate discovery, a place where the child's inner world is treated as vast, beautiful, and worthy of deep attention.

Before the child leaves Unicornia—before they return to their bed, to waking life—the princess offers a final gift: permission to touch her spiral horn. "You feel a tiny little shock. It doesn't hurt you. It just makes you jump a little bit. You can feel a warm and tingling sensation." This is the moment of internalization. The princess, the witness, the magical being who sees the child's truth, is no longer external. She is being incorporated into the child's own inner resources. The promise is explicit: "she will be your best friend." The friendship travels with the child back home.

Four Journeys, One Architecture

The meditation is actually four meditations woven seamlessly together: "Land of the Unicorns," "Flying Unicorns," "Christmas in Unicornia," and "Unicorn Sleepover." This structure serves multiple purposes. It provides variation for children who listen repeatedly, preventing habituation and boredom. It allows for different entry points—a child might resonate more deeply with the flying sequence, or the holiday theme, or the sleepover narrative. And it maintains narrative continuity while offering emotional variety. A single ninety-minute meditation might lose a child's attention; four acts within one arc keep engagement alive while progressively deepening the state of relaxation.

Why 4.9 Million Matter

The view count speaks to a cultural moment. A decade ago, suggesting meditation to an anxious child might have seemed alternative, even esoteric. Now it's mainstream. Parents facing their child's insomnia or worry reach for apps and YouTube channels offering guided meditations. Schools incorporate mindfulness into their curricula. What was once confined to yoga studios and retreat centers has become democratized, available free on any device.

But numbers alone don't explain impact. What matters is the craft beneath the views—the understanding that a child's nervous system can be educated toward calm, that imagination and physiology work together, that the right words in the right sequence can shift the entire trajectory of a night. The meditation understands something fundamental: anxious children don't need more information or more stimulation. They need to be genuinely seen by someone (or something) that is not anxious, that is steady, that embodies what peace actually feels like.

Where to Go From Here

For families seeking similar tools, the landscape has expanded dramatically since this meditation was created in 2019. Dozens of apps now offer children's meditation channels; many YouTube creators have followed the template that New Horizon pioneered. The key ingredients to recognize and seek out remain consistent with what's at work here: progressive relaxation that moves from breath to body to imagination; affirming language embedded within narrative rather than stated as external command; pacing that respects the child's attention span and the body's actual rhythms of letting go; and voices or characters that embody acceptance and genuine presence. The craft of guided meditation for children is ultimately the craft of understanding how attention, imagination, safety, and the body's capacity to relax work as one integrated whole. In a world that asks children to achieve more and worry more, that integration—that permission to rest—becomes a kind of necessary healing in itself.

[5:18] there are even a couple of them flying

[5:21] past your rainbow

[5:25] can you see them

[5:30] the rainbow reaches its top most part

[5:34] and begins to move back down again now

[5:40] it's starting to get a bit slippy

[5:44] so you sit down and as you do you begin

[5:47] to slide

[5:48] [Music]

[5:50] oh dear you are sliding down the rainbow

[5:55] the rainbow is like a great big water

[5:58] slide with beautiful colors all around

[6:01] you

[6:02] and you are going faster and faster

[6:06] the wind is whipping through your hair

[6:08] making it fly everywhere

[6:11] this makes you laugh out loud

[6:14] you are laughing so hard that your tummy

[6:16] starts to hurt

[6:18] [Music]

[6:24] you can see the end of the rainbow and

[6:27] it's coming fast

[6:32] and you notice that at the bottom of the

[6:34] rainbow

[6:36] there appears to be well a huge

[6:41] trampoline

[6:43] oh my

[6:45] you hit the trampoline so fast that you

[6:48] bounce right back up again

[6:51] then back down

[6:52] then right back up again oh this is so

[6:55] much fun

[6:57] so you keep bouncing for a few minutes

[7:00] up and down

[7:02] up

[7:02] and down

[7:05] [Music]

[7:21] with each big bounce

[7:23] you see in the distance beautiful colors

[7:26] that you haven't seen before

[7:29] you see many many fields and mountains

[7:33] and you can see beautiful flowers too

[7:37] you've never seen them before either

[7:40] it's absolutely breathtaking to see such

[7:45] beauty

[7:46] [Music]

[7:49] you can also see what looked like horses

[7:53] in the distance

[7:55] but they have horns

[7:58] can't be right

[8:00] not horns

[8:02] not unicorns

[8:04] surely not

[8:06] no

[8:08] they can't be unicorns

[8:11] can they

[8:14] you stop bouncing and jump off the

[8:17] trampoline

[8:19] go and investigate

[8:23] go and see if they really are unicorns

[8:27] [Music]

[8:28] so you start walking

[8:30] when you come across a huge sign and it

[8:33] says

[8:35] welcome to unicornia

[8:37] land of the

[8:39] unicorns wow

[8:42] you look around you and you see unicorns

[8:45] everywhere

[8:48] there are large unicorns

[8:51] there are small baby unicorns

[8:54] there are unicorns

[8:55] all over the place

[8:58] and each and every one of them has a

[9:01] very special

[9:03] spiral horn on its head

[9:06] [Music]

[9:08] you move very quietly and very softly

[9:11] because you don't want to scare any of

[9:13] them away

[9:14] you don't want to frighten them

[9:16] [Music]

[9:18] but you needn't worry

[9:20] because they are not scared of you at

[9:22] all

[9:23] in fact they come up to you and say

[9:26] hello

[9:27] yes these beautiful and special beings

[9:31] can talk too

[9:34] they are very magical beings

[9:38] and they always

[9:40] know the truth of things

[9:41] [Music]

[9:48] the unicorns all speak to you at once

[9:51] they want to know your name they want to

[9:56] because only very special good kind

[9:59] people

[10:00] can find the rainbow

[10:03] to unicornia

[10:05] [Music]

[10:09] all of a sudden the unicorns as one

[10:13] stop talking

[10:14] and bow their heads

[10:18] a very different unicorn comes out from

[10:21] the rest of them

[10:23] [Music]

[10:24] this unicorn

[10:26] is very

[10:27] very beautiful

[10:30] and she is much whiter than the others

[10:33] and her coat is very silky

[10:36] and very shiny

[10:39] she is a sparkling glittering magical

[10:42] unicorn

[10:43] [Music]

[10:44] and she looks about the same age as you

[10:49] you notice

[10:51] that she has a diamond encrusted

[10:54] spiral horn

[10:56] with pink crystals on it on the top of

[10:58] her

[10:59] head she has a beautiful silver mane

[11:03] with speckles of pink in it

[11:05] and beautiful silver hooves

[11:09] this magnificent unicorn

[11:12] walks so

[11:13] softly that her hooves make no sound

[11:16] [Music]

[11:18] her spiral horn is the most powerful of

[11:22] them all

[11:24] her spiral horn has the strongest

[11:27] magical healing qualities

[11:30] and it is magnificent

[11:34] the gentle breeze blows across

[11:38] her spiral horn

[11:40] and it produces a beautiful flute-like

[11:43] melody

[11:44] and it sounds so wonderful to you

[11:47] [Music]

[11:50] this unicorn

[11:52] is the princess

[11:54] of

[12:08] and all she wants is for everyone to

[12:12] have peace

[12:13] and harmony in their life

[12:15] [Music]

[12:18] the princess unicorn speaks to you

[12:22] she tells you that magic

[12:25] is real

[12:28] she tells you

[12:29] you must always believe in yourself

[12:32] and that you are so very special

[12:36] just like hair

[12:40] she is very gentle and loving

[12:43] and you can feel the love she has for

[12:46] you

[12:47] because she loves all beings

[12:50] she loves each and every one of us

[12:54] equally

[12:54] [Music]

[12:56] no matter how different we may look from

[12:59] each other

[13:00] she only sees

[13:02] the beautiful person

[13:04] we truly are

[13:09] [Music]

[13:28] the princess unicorn

[13:30] asks you if you would like a ride on her

[13:33] back well of course you say yes

[13:38] she bows one leg for you to climb up

[13:42] and when you are settled

[13:43] she starts to move

[13:46] so for a few moments

[13:49] ride on the back of this majestic being

[13:55] listen

[13:56] to what she has to tell you

[13:58] [Music]

[13:59] see the magnificent place

[14:02] that is unicornia

[14:04] [Music]

[14:48] so

[14:55] [Music]

[15:10] me

[15:11] [Music]

[15:29] so

[15:30] [Music]

[15:55] the princess

[15:57] unicorn

[15:58] stops

[16:00] in front of massive steps

[16:03] and on these steps all the way up

[16:06] are many many beautiful crystals

[16:09] you climb down off her back

[16:12] she tells you to come up the steps with

[16:14] her and as you walk up the steps

[16:17] you see that right in front of you

[16:20] is a beautiful

[16:22] crystal palace

[16:24] and it shines and sparkles in the

[16:26] sunlight

[16:28] it is so beautiful

[16:30] so magnificent

[16:33] the princess unicorn

[16:36] leads you up to the doors

[16:39] and two

[16:40] rather small elves

[16:42] open the doors

[16:46] you step inside

[16:48] absolutely

[16:51] beautiful

[16:54] the princess unicorn asks you

[16:57] would you like to go around the palace

[17:00] and see how they live

[17:03] would you like to see the princess's own

[17:06] bedroom

[17:08] and you say oh yes please

[17:12] this is wonderful

[17:15] so the princess unicorn

[17:18] leads you

[17:20] up the great

[17:22] big stairs

[17:24] because she's so excited she wants to

[17:26] take you to her bedroom first

[17:29] so you go with

[17:31] her so for a little while

[17:34] just explore this beautiful palace

[17:38] with the princess unicorn

[17:40] meet her family but most of all

[17:44] go and see her bedroom and what exciting

[17:48] things

[17:48] she has in there

[17:51] just for a little while

[17:53] be in the palace

[17:59] [Music]

[18:08] [Music]

[18:46] so

[18:51] [Music]

[19:00] do

[19:05] [Music]

[20:09] so

[20:14] [Music]

[20:24] now

[20:26] it's time for you to return to your own

[20:28] home

[20:31] it's time for you to leave unicornia

[20:35] so you thank the princess

[20:38] for all her kindness

[20:40] and for all that she has done for you

[20:42] today

[20:44] and the princess tells you

[20:46] you can come back here any time you want

[20:50] there are many more lands for you to

[20:52] visit

[20:54] many more beings

[20:56] for you to make friends with

[21:00] but before you go

[21:02] she asks you to touch her beautiful

[21:05] spiral horn

[21:08] and as you do

[21:10] you feel a tiny little shock it doesn't

[21:13] hurt you

[21:14] it just makes you jump a little bit

[21:18] you can feel a warm and tingling

[21:21] sensation

[21:22] coming from her beautiful horn

[21:25] and the princess unicorn

[21:28] tells you that she is sending you

[21:30] healing

[21:30] [Music]

[21:33] her healing power

[21:35] is in her beautiful spiral horn

[21:39] any problems or worries that you may

[21:42] have

[21:44] she is helping you now

[21:47] she is helping you to overcome any

[21:50] difficulties

[21:52] that you may have

[21:53] [Music]

[21:55] and she says

[21:56] that she will be your best friend

[22:00] forever

[22:02] and this makes you so happy

[22:04] [Music]

[22:07] you thank her for helping you

[22:10] and you say goodbye

[22:14] you say goodbye to all of the beautiful

[22:17] magical unicorns

[22:20] and you turn to go

[22:27] the unicorn

[22:28] teaches us to believe in ourselves

[22:31] and in the reality of magic

[22:35] but remember

[22:37] those who don't believe in magic

[22:41] will never find it

[22:42] [Music]

[22:45] so take a deep breath in

[22:49] and slowly

[22:51] and gently

[22:52] breathe out

[22:56] deep breath in

[23:00] and slowly

[23:02] and gently

[23:03] breathe out

[23:07] one last time deep breath in

[23:10] [Music]

[23:12] and slowly

[23:14] and gently

[23:15] breathe out

[23:19] now wriggle your fingers

[23:22] and wriggle your toes

[23:25] and then slowly

[23:27] and gently

[23:29] open your eyes

[23:35] [Music]

[24:40] [Music]

[24:47] [Music]

[24:50] so

[24:55] [Music]

[25:07] find a place

[25:08] where you can sit and relax

[25:11] and not be disturbed

[25:15] maybe in your bedroom or on your sofa

[25:20] now i want you

[25:22] to take a deep breath

[25:24] in through your nose

[25:27] and slowly

[25:29] and gently

[25:30] breathe out through your mouth

[25:34] [Music]

[25:36] again

[25:38] deep breath in

[25:42] and slowly

[25:44] and gently

[25:45] breathe out through your mouth

[25:48] [Music]

[25:51] one more time

[25:53] deep breath in

[25:57] and slowly

[25:59] and gently

[26:00] breathe out through your mouth

[26:04] now just relax

[26:06] and let your breathing

[26:08] come back to its normal rhythm

[26:12] [Music]

[26:19] now i want you to imagine that you have

[26:21] roots

[26:22] sprouting out from the soles of your

[26:24] feet

[26:25] [Music]

[26:27] very strong

[26:29] and very knobbly roots

[26:31] [Music]

[26:33] and they look like the roots of a tree

[26:35] [Music]

[26:38] and you can hear your roots growing

[26:40] through the ground

[26:42] and you can hear them as they push their

[26:44] way through the soil

[26:47] can you hear it

[26:51] can you feel the soil under your feet

[26:54] all squishy

[26:59] [Music]

[27:07] [Music]

[27:09] now imagine

[27:11] a beautiful white light

[27:13] surrounding your whole body

[27:17] a light so bright

[27:19] that you shine brighter than a thousand

[27:23] suns

[27:23] [Music]

[27:25] but it doesn't hurt you to look at it

[27:30] and this beautiful

[27:32] white light

[27:33] is protecting you

[27:34] [Music]

[27:44] [Music]

[27:47] now imagine

[27:49] you are standing on your favorite beach

[27:53] a beach with golden sand

[27:56] [Music]

[27:58] and you can feel the warm sand squidging

[28:01] beneath your bare feet

[28:03] and in between your toes

[28:05] [Music]

[28:07] can you feel the sun tickling your feet

[28:10] [Music]

[28:11] can you feel how warm it is

[28:19] and you can hear the sound of the ocean

[28:22] waves

[28:23] as they gently wash up on the sand

[28:27] and you can even smell the salty air can

[28:30] you smell it

[28:34] if you stick your tongue out

[28:36] you can even taste it

[28:39] try it

[28:41] try and taste the salty air

[28:45] [Music]

[28:47] stick your tongue out

[28:53] can you taste it

[28:58] [Music]

[29:04] in the distance

[29:06] something catches your eye

[29:08] and you screw up your eyes to see what

[29:11] it is

[29:13] what is moving towards you

[29:14] [Music]

[29:16] you are not afraid though

[29:19] because there is nothing here to be

[29:21] afraid of

[29:23] [Music]

[29:26] this

[29:27] is your special

[29:29] safe place

[29:31] and only you can say who comes to this

[29:34] place

[29:35] because it's yours

[29:37] [Music]

[29:44] you can now see

[29:46] what is coming towards you

[29:49] it is five unicorns

[29:53] five

[29:55] unicorns

[29:57] wow

[30:05] they stop in front of you and let you

[30:08] stroke them

[30:10] and they are truly beautiful creatures

[30:14] all soft and shiny

[30:18] and each unicorn is a different color

[30:22] and each of them

[30:24] have a golden sparkling horn

[30:27] in the center of the head

[30:29] that glitters in the sunlight

[30:31] [Music]

[30:36] what colours are your unicorns

[30:38] [Music]

[30:44] can you feel their silky coats

[30:48] [Music]

[30:58] these are your special unicorns

[31:01] that can take you on wonderful

[31:03] adventures with them

[31:06] you can go to far-off lands

[31:08] and see many different villages

[31:11] and how other people live

[31:13] [Music]

[31:15] you can go to the desert if you want to

[31:17] and see the pyramids

[31:19] and you can climb the highest mountain

[31:24] where would you like to go

[31:29] what would you like to see

[31:36] [Music]

[31:39] one of the unicorns bends their knees

[31:42] for you

[31:43] so that you can climb up on their back

[31:46] and you do climb up on their back

[31:48] [Music]

[31:54] is your unicorn male or female

[31:58] and you wonder if they have a name

[32:02] so you ask them

[32:05] and you wait for them to whisper it to

[32:07] you

[32:11] your unicorn asks where you want to go

[32:14] [Music]

[32:16] so whisper it in their ear

[32:20] [Music]

[32:28] the unicorns all move as if they were

[32:32] one

[32:34] and you hold on tight to the main as

[32:37] they start to trot

[32:38] [Music]

[32:40] and you start to jiggle a bit as they

[32:42] move a bit quicker

[32:43] [Music]

[32:48] and you feel very peaceful and calm on

[32:51] the back of your unicorn

[32:53] [Music]

[32:54] and you feel very excited and very happy

[33:02] you can feel the wind on your face

[33:07] you can feel the wind rushing through

[33:08] your hair

[33:15] you look up towards the sky

[33:18] and see the beautiful warm sun

[33:21] shining down on you

[33:24] and it feels really lovely on your skin

[33:27] [Music]

[33:35] as your unicorn gallops forward have a

[33:39] look around you

[33:40] [Music]

[33:42] what can you see

[33:44] [Music]

[33:48] do you see fields and trees

[33:51] [Music]

[33:53] or do you see the ocean again

[33:56] [Music]

[33:58] what do you see

[34:00] [Music]

[34:11] you feel so happy riding on the back of

[34:14] your unicorn

[34:16] so peaceful and free

[34:19] [Music]

[34:23] and you notice that all five of the

[34:26] unicorns

[34:27] all move at exactly the same time

[34:32] they are never out of step with each

[34:34] other

[34:37] they are so in harmony with each other

[34:40] that when your unicorn

[34:42] who is in the front

[34:44] moves just a tiny bit

[34:47] they all move

[34:49] exactly the same way

[34:51] at exactly the same time

[35:01] [Music]

[35:04] you see up ahead of you

[35:06] that you are coming to a cliff edge

[35:08] [Music]

[35:10] and you wonder why your unicorns are not

[35:13] slowing down

[35:15] when all of a sudden each one of them

[35:17] grow beautiful golden silver wings

[35:21] and as they keep galloping faster and

[35:24] faster they rise into the air

[35:27] higher and higher they go

[35:29] soaring up into the clouds

[35:33] do you realize that you are flying

[35:37] they are flying

[35:40] you feel amazing

[35:44] so joyful and so happy

[35:51] you are flying

[35:54] [Music]

[36:01] you look around you

[36:03] and see fluffy white clouds everywhere

[36:06] [Music]

[36:11] you and your unicorns

[36:14] fly around for a while

[36:16] enjoying

[36:17] all that you see

[36:20] so be free

[36:22] and just fly with your unicorns

[36:26] [Music]

[36:39] [Music]

[37:08] [Music]

[37:31] your unicorns start to dive downwards

[37:34] now

[37:35] back through the clouds

[37:38] and you can feel the tremendous rush of

[37:41] air on your face

[37:43] and you can feel your clothes blowing in

[37:46] the wind

[37:49] you look beneath you

[37:51] and see the glorious countryside below

[37:54] you

[37:56] what else do you see

[38:06] you and your unicorns are flying high

[38:10] over the fields and the hills

[38:14] racing past tall trees swaying in the

[38:17] breeze

[38:20] and you feel so happy

[38:22] [Music]

[38:23] and you feel so alive

[38:26] [Music]

[38:29] how does it feel to be so free

[38:32] [Music]

[38:41] keep flying for as long as you wish

[38:45] maybe you can ask your unicorn a

[38:47] question

[38:50] is there anything you would like to ask

[38:51] your unicorn

[38:55] [Music]

[40:17] [Music]

[40:50] do

[40:52] [Music]

[40:57] so

[41:04] [Music]

[41:24] [Music]

[41:42] [Music]

[41:48] now it's time to return home

[41:53] so just whisper in your unicorn's ear

[41:56] and ask them to take you home

[42:03] whenever you feel you are ready to open

[42:06] your eyes

[42:08] just wriggle your fingers and your toes

[42:13] have a big stretch

[42:16] and then slowly

[42:17] and gently

[42:19] open your eyes

[42:25] [Music]

[42:46] [Music]

[42:51] [Music]

[43:12] [Music]

[43:19] do

[43:21] [Music]

[43:27] close your eyes

[43:29] and make yourself comfortable

[43:32] take a deep breath

[43:34] in through your nose

[43:37] and slowly and gently breathe out

[43:40] through your mouth

[43:45] take another deep breath in

[43:47] [Music]

[43:49] and slowly and gently

[43:52] breathe out

[43:54] [Music]

[43:56] one more time deep breath in

[44:02] and slowly and gently

[44:04] breathe out

[44:08] now bring your breathing back to its

[44:10] normal rhythm

[44:12] feeling your chest

[44:14] rise and fall gently

[44:17] feeling peaceful and calm

[44:21] feeling very relaxed

[44:23] [Music]

[44:26] with each breath you take

[44:29] you can feel yourself becoming more and

[44:31] more relaxed

[44:33] you even feel quite floppy and loose

[44:38] and you feel so peaceful

[44:41] so relaxed

[44:44] but you feel very happy and very light

[44:48] but you're breathing is almost still you

[44:51] are so relaxed

[44:54] [Music]

[44:56] now imagine yourself sitting in a large

[44:59] green field

[45:01] the sun is shining brightly and it's a

[45:04] very beautiful clear day and you can see

[45:07] from miles and miles around

[45:11] you feel very calm

[45:13] very relaxed

[45:15] and very very peaceful

[45:18] [Music]

[45:19] you can hear birds singing to each other

[45:22] can you hear them

[45:27] as you look up at the sky

[45:29] you see a beautiful rainbow of many

[45:33] colors

[45:34] and the colors are so bright and so

[45:36] clear

[45:38] can you see it

[45:41] can you see the beautiful rainbow of

[45:43] many colors

[45:46] [Music]

[45:48] see how the colors sparkle and shine

[45:51] see how the colors look almost alive

[45:55] and it's then

[45:56] that you notice something different

[45:58] about this rainbow

[46:01] you can see some sort of uh white stuff

[46:04] when it's floating all around it

[46:07] and it's on it

[46:08] [Music]

[46:11] so you stop at the beginning of the

[46:13] rainbow and you take a good look at it

[46:16] and you realize that the rainbow has

[46:19] snow flurries gently falling down all

[46:23] over it

[46:24] oh my goodness me

[46:26] a rainbow with snow on it

[46:29] [Music]

[46:32] the rainbow is decorated with tinsel

[46:36] lots and lots of brightly colored tinsel

[46:39] and there are sleigh bells jingling all

[46:42] over the rainbow

[46:43] and you can hear them

[46:45] and it fills you with such delight

[46:49] [Music]

[46:53] you step onto the snow-covered rainbow

[46:56] and it begins to move

[46:58] [Music]

[47:00] you can touch the colours of the rainbow

[47:04] you can also touch the snow that's

[47:05] floating gently all around it and it

[47:08] feels so cool to the touch

[47:11] feels so soft and so light

[47:14] and the sleigh bells are jingling all

[47:18] around you

[47:19] it's like it's christmas

[47:21] and it nearly is

[47:25] the rainbow goes higher still

[47:28] and you can see the fields below you

[47:30] and you can see many many trees

[47:33] and you can see the birds flying

[47:36] you can see them flying past the rainbow

[47:42] but you really do find it so very

[47:44] strange

[47:45] that there is no snow

[47:48] anywhere else

[47:49] only on the rainbow

[47:52] how odd

[47:55] [Music]

[48:00] the rainbow

[48:01] reaches its top most part

[48:04] and then it begins to move back down

[48:06] again

[48:08] and it's starting to get a bit slippy

[48:10] now on this rainbow

[48:12] so you decide to sit down

[48:14] and as you do

[48:16] you begin to slip and slide in the snow

[48:18] that's covered all of the rainbow

[48:22] you are sliding down the snow-covered

[48:24] rainbow now

[48:26] and the snow is sticking to your hair

[48:28] and on your clothes oh and it feels so

[48:30] great

[48:32] so great that you start to laugh out

[48:33] loud you are having so much fun

[48:36] you are going faster and faster and

[48:39] you're laughing so hard that your tummy

[48:41] hurts

[48:46] you can see the end of the rainbow now

[48:48] and it's coming fast

[48:51] and you notice that at the bottom of the

[48:53] rainbow there is a massive wall of snow

[48:56] oh my

[48:58] you hit the snowy walls so fast

[49:01] but then you charge straight through

[49:03] it's still laughing

[49:05] and all around there there is snow

[49:08] fields and mountains of glorious white

[49:11] snow

[49:13] so just for a moment have a little play

[49:15] in the snow

[49:17] make a snowman

[49:18] see how far you can throw a snowball

[49:22] have some fun

[49:25] [Music]

[49:42] [Music]

[49:55] [Music]

[50:09] [Music]

[50:37] [Music]

[50:43] so

[50:49] [Music]

[51:10] you finally stop playing and look around

[51:13] you

[51:15] and you can see the trees all covered in

[51:18] beautiful white snow

[51:20] and they look so pretty

[51:23] and as you walk

[51:25] you come across a huge sign

[51:27] and it says

[51:29] welcome to unicornia

[51:32] land of the unicorns

[51:35] and underneath this it says

[51:38] merry christmas

[51:40] wow

[51:41] you have arrived once again in unicornia

[51:45] oh how wonderful that is

[51:48] you look down at yourself and you

[51:50] realize that you have one very warm and

[51:53] woolly clothes

[51:55] that's quite funny because you don't

[51:57] remember putting them on that day

[51:59] not at all

[52:01] and it's such a cold day but you are

[52:04] wrapped up nice and warm

[52:07] you look up

[52:08] and you can see

[52:10] unicorns

[52:12] there are unicorns everywhere and they

[52:15] too are all playing in snow

[52:19] there are christmas lights hanging on

[52:21] every tree

[52:22] lots and lots of beautiful colored

[52:25] lights

[52:26] everywhere

[52:28] you notice that all of the unicorns are

[52:31] all wearing woolly jumpers too

[52:35] but their jumpers

[52:36] are christmas jumpers

[52:40] some of their jumpers

[52:42] have sparkly christmas trees on them

[52:45] some of them have reindeer on them

[52:48] and some of them have a big happy santa

[52:51] claus face on them

[52:53] and you are so excited to see the

[52:55] unicorns again

[52:56] and even more excited because they are

[52:59] all wearing lovely

[53:01] great big christmas jumpers

[53:07] you can see robins dancing in the snow

[53:11] and one little robin has a bright red

[53:14] hat on with a tiny jingly bell on it

[53:17] and you can hear it as he plays in the

[53:19] snow

[53:20] he is even whistling the jingle bell

[53:23] song as he dances

[53:26] can you hear it

[53:29] [Music]

[53:32] one of the unicorns steps forward to

[53:34] greet you

[53:35] and you recognize her

[53:38] it is the princess unicorn

[53:42] she is very very beautiful

[53:45] and she is much whiter than the others

[53:48] and her coat is very silky and shiny

[53:51] [Music]

[53:52] she is a sparkling glittering magical

[53:55] unicorn

[53:57] and she too

[53:59] is wearing her best christmas jumper

[54:04] she smiles at you

[54:06] and she wishes you a merry christmas

[54:09] and she is so happy that you came back

[54:12] for a visit

[54:16] she asks you if you would like to come

[54:18] with her as she has something very

[54:20] special to do today

[54:23] she is taking all the presents to the

[54:25] baby unicorns in the nursery

[54:28] because it's their christmas party today

[54:31] you say oh yes please

[54:33] so you climb up on her back and she

[54:36] spreads her wings and off you go

[54:40] and you fly high

[54:43] higher and higher

[54:48] the princess unicorn makes a quick stop

[54:51] to the unicorn santa's grotto to collect

[54:54] all of the presents

[54:56] here

[54:57] he is called

[54:59] santa uniclaws

[55:02] and he is rather a large unicorn with a

[55:04] big pot belly that jiggles when he

[55:06] laughs

[55:08] and he laughs a lot

[55:11] he is dressed in his santa claus

[55:13] lots and lots of red

[55:16] he says that red is his favorite

[55:19] colour he has a very white big beard

[55:23] that you might think

[55:25] have bits of his dinner still in it

[55:27] oh dear

[55:28] [Music]

[55:30] two of his elf helpers are sitting

[55:33] beside him

[55:35] and they hand him a rather large present

[55:40] santa uniclaws takes him

[55:43] and he looks carefully at the name tag

[55:47] and then

[55:48] to your amazement

[55:50] he hands it

[55:51] to you

[55:53] you get a present too

[55:56] you excitedly unwrap this wonderful gift

[55:59] and take a look at it

[56:02] what is it

[56:03] [Music]

[56:05] what gift did you get

[56:08] is it something you have always wanted

[56:10] [Music]

[56:15] you say thank you to santa uniclaws for

[56:18] this lovely gift

[56:22] santa is so very busy that he asked the

[56:25] princess unicorn to help him today and

[56:28] you too

[56:29] get to help the princess unicorn

[56:32] [Music]

[56:35] you arrive at the nursery

[56:38] and the baby unicorn nursery is all

[56:41] decorated with christmas trees and many

[56:43] many sparkling lights

[56:46] oh it looks so magical

[56:48] you have never seen anything so

[56:50] beautiful before

[56:53] you climb down off the princess unicorns

[56:55] back

[56:57] and you help her to give the presence to

[56:59] all of the baby unicorns

[57:02] and the baby unicorns look so happy

[57:05] they are all giggling and laughing with

[57:07] joy

[57:08] they are so excited to see the princess

[57:11] unicorn and that she and you

[57:14] have come to play with them today

[57:16] [Music]

[57:18] so the two of you start to give out all

[57:21] of the presents to the little baby

[57:23] unicorns

[57:25] so spend a few moments with the baby

[57:27] unicorns give them all their gifts

[57:31] talk to them

[57:32] play with them

[57:35] just have some fun

[57:37] for just a little while

[57:39] with the princess unicorn

[57:41] and the little tiny

[57:43] baby unicorns

[57:46] [Music]

[58:01] [Music]

[58:51] [Music]

[59:45] now

[59:46] it's time for you to come home

[59:48] after all it's very nearly your

[59:50] christmas too

[59:52] now you don't want to miss that do you

[59:55] i know i don't

[59:58] so you say goodbye to the little baby

[1:00:00] unicorns

[1:00:01] and climb back up onto the princess

[1:00:04] unicorns back

[1:00:06] and very quickly almost in the blink of

[1:00:09] an eye

[1:00:10] she takes you back to the beautiful

[1:00:12] rainbow

[1:00:14] you climb down

[1:00:15] and you give her a great big hug

[1:00:19] and you tell her you will be back again

[1:00:20] soon

[1:00:23] you step onto the beautiful rainbow and

[1:00:25] begin your journey back home

[1:00:28] all the time

[1:00:29] waving to the princess unicorn

[1:00:34] so now

[1:00:35] take a deep breath in

[1:00:40] slowly and gently

[1:00:42] breathe out

[1:00:44] the rainbow is moving very fast now

[1:00:48] deep breath in

[1:00:51] slowly and gently

[1:00:54] breathe out

[1:00:55] almost there

[1:00:58] one last time deep breath in

[1:01:01] [Music]

[1:01:02] and slowly

[1:01:04] and gently

[1:01:05] breathe out

[1:01:07] [Music]

[1:01:09] whenever you are ready

[1:01:11] wriggle your fingers

[1:01:14] wriggle your toes have a great big

[1:01:15] stretch

[1:01:17] and slowly and gently

[1:01:20] open your eyes

[1:01:24] [Music]

[1:01:51] close your eyes

[1:01:53] and make yourself comfortable

[1:01:58] take a deep breath

[1:02:00] in through your nose

[1:02:03] and slowly

[1:02:04] and gently breathe out through your

[1:02:07] mouth

[1:02:08] [Music]

[1:02:13] take another deep breath in

[1:02:18] and slowly and gently

[1:02:22] breathe out

[1:02:23] through your mouth

[1:02:29] one more time

[1:02:31] deep breath in

[1:02:35] and slowly

[1:02:36] and gently

[1:02:38] breathe out through your mouth

[1:02:44] now just bring your breathing back to

[1:02:47] its normal rhythm

[1:02:50] feeling your chest

[1:02:52] rise and fall gently

[1:02:54] [Music]

[1:02:58] feeling peaceful

[1:03:00] and calm

[1:03:04] feeling very relaxed

[1:03:07] [Music]

[1:03:10] because with each breath you take

[1:03:13] you can feel yourself

[1:03:15] becoming more

[1:03:17] and more relaxed

[1:03:18] [Music]

[1:03:20] and your body is starting to feel so

[1:03:23] heavy now

[1:03:25] but all snuggly and warm

[1:03:31] and you feel so peaceful

[1:03:35] so relaxed

[1:03:37] [Music]

[1:03:39] and yet you feel so very happy and light

[1:03:44] and your breathing

[1:03:46] is almost still

[1:03:49] you are so relaxed

[1:03:51] [Music]

[1:03:56] now

[1:03:57] imagine yourself sitting

[1:03:59] in a large green field

[1:04:04] and the sun is shining brightly

[1:04:08] and it's a lovely lovely clear

[1:04:11] day with just a few little clouds

[1:04:15] floating by

[1:04:20] and this also

[1:04:22] makes you feel very calm

[1:04:26] peaceful

[1:04:27] [Music]

[1:04:31] you look up

[1:04:32] at the sky

[1:04:36] you see a beautiful rainbow

[1:04:39] of many colours

[1:04:42] and the colours are so bright and so

[1:04:44] clear

[1:04:45] [Music]

[1:04:49] can you see

[1:04:50] that beautiful rainbow of many colors

[1:04:59] you think

[1:05:01] that you have seen this rainbow before

[1:05:04] that's because you have

[1:05:11] see how the colors sparkle

[1:05:14] and shine

[1:05:15] [Music]

[1:05:17] see how the colors look almost alive

[1:05:21] but so beautiful

[1:05:28] you walk towards this beautiful rainbow

[1:05:32] and your steps are becoming lighter and

[1:05:35] lighter all the time

[1:05:37] [Music]

[1:05:40] it's almost

[1:05:41] as if you are floating towards it

[1:05:44] and it feels like your feet

[1:05:46] are not even touching the floor

[1:05:51] [Music]

[1:06:00] you start at the beginning of the

[1:06:03] rainbow

[1:06:05] and because you have been here before

[1:06:07] you know

[1:06:09] that you can just step onto it

[1:06:11] and it will take you straight

[1:06:14] to unicornia

[1:06:17] the land of the unicorns

[1:06:19] [Music]

[1:06:23] the rainbow begins to move forward and

[1:06:26] it also begins to climb

[1:06:30] and it climbs higher and higher

[1:06:34] [Music]

[1:06:36] you touch the colours of the rainbow

[1:06:40] and it feels so smooth

[1:06:46] what does it feel like to you when you

[1:06:48] touch the colours of the rainbow

[1:07:01] you can see pinks

[1:07:03] and blues

[1:07:06] you can see yellows and greens

[1:07:09] orange and purple

[1:07:12] silver and white

[1:07:15] and you can touch

[1:07:17] every single color

[1:07:21] [Music]

[1:07:28] the rainbow

[1:07:29] reaches its top most part

[1:07:32] and slowly begins to move back down

[1:07:35] again

[1:07:37] and you are sliding down the rainbow now

[1:07:41] the rainbow is like a great big

[1:07:43] waterslide

[1:07:45] with the beautiful colours all around

[1:07:47] you

[1:07:48] and you are going faster and faster

[1:07:52] and you notice that at the bottom of the

[1:07:54] rainbow

[1:07:55] there is a huge trampoline and you

[1:07:58] remember it from the last time you were

[1:08:00] here

[1:08:01] [Music]

[1:08:03] you hit the trampoline so fast that you

[1:08:07] bounce right back up again

[1:08:09] then back down

[1:08:11] then right back up again

[1:08:15] and it's fun

[1:08:21] so you stop bouncing and jump off the

[1:08:24] trampoline

[1:08:27] and land in the squishy squashy grass

[1:08:31] [Music]

[1:08:33] you stand up

[1:08:35] and you fix your clothes because they're

[1:08:36] a bit scuffed up

[1:08:39] [Music]

[1:08:42] you look ahead of you

[1:08:44] and you see the huge sign

[1:08:47] that says

[1:08:49] welcome to unicornia

[1:08:52] land of the unicorns

[1:08:55] you are so excited and so happy to be

[1:08:59] back here again

[1:09:04] once again

[1:09:05] you see the many unicorns

[1:09:09] big ones

[1:09:11] small ones

[1:09:12] even little chubby ones

[1:09:15] and they are all so very beautiful

[1:09:18] with their very special spiral horns on

[1:09:22] the center of their heads

[1:09:24] and they rush up to greet you

[1:09:27] and you

[1:09:28] rush up to them

[1:09:31] [Music]

[1:09:44] in amongst all of these beautiful

[1:09:47] unicorns

[1:09:49] there is one that stands out to you

[1:09:52] [Music]

[1:09:55] this

[1:09:56] is the princess

[1:09:58] of

[1:09:59] [Music]

[1:10:01] unicornia the princess of unicornia

[1:10:05] comes forward to greet you

[1:10:09] she is very very beautiful

[1:10:12] with her silky and shiny coat

[1:10:17] and she is so much whiter than the other

[1:10:19] unicorns

[1:10:21] [Music]

[1:10:23] and you see

[1:10:24] her diamond encrusted

[1:10:27] spiral horn

[1:10:29] with pink crystals all around it

[1:10:34] you see

[1:10:35] her beautiful silver mane

[1:10:38] with pink speckles in it

[1:10:41] you see

[1:10:42] her silver hooves

[1:10:44] [Music]

[1:10:46] [Applause]

[1:10:49] the gentle breeze

[1:10:51] blows across her horn

[1:10:55] and it produces

[1:10:57] a beautiful

[1:10:58] flute like melody

[1:11:01] it's so beautiful

[1:11:03] [Music]

[1:11:11] the princess

[1:11:12] of the unicorns

[1:11:15] knows that you have had a long journey

[1:11:18] to get here

[1:11:21] and she asks you if you would like a

[1:11:23] ride on her

[1:11:25] back well

[1:11:27] of course you say yes

[1:11:29] [Music]

[1:11:33] you see something

[1:11:34] about the princess

[1:11:37] that you didn't notice straight away

[1:11:41] you look down to where your legs are

[1:11:44] resting

[1:11:45] and you notice

[1:11:47] that she has wings

[1:11:51] she actually

[1:11:53] has wings

[1:11:58] she tells you

[1:12:00] that because she is very young

[1:12:03] she didn't used to have wings

[1:12:05] but now

[1:12:07] she has had a very special birthday

[1:12:12] and because of that birthday

[1:12:15] she was allowed

[1:12:17] to grow wings

[1:12:19] and she tells you that now she can fly

[1:12:24] wow

[1:12:25] the princess unicorn

[1:12:28] can fly

[1:12:30] and you

[1:12:32] can fly with her

[1:12:37] she starts to move forward quite quickly

[1:12:41] and then she tells you to hold on to her

[1:12:43] beautiful silver mane of hair

[1:12:45] [Music]

[1:12:49] within a second her wings spread out

[1:12:52] and start to gently flap

[1:12:55] and you can feel the muscles moving in

[1:12:57] her body as she gallops faster and

[1:13:00] faster

[1:13:03] her wings spread out wide and then

[1:13:06] suddenly she rises into the air

[1:13:09] higher and higher

[1:13:11] soaring up into the clouds

[1:13:13] she is flying

[1:13:15] and so are you

[1:13:18] you feel amazing

[1:13:21] so joyful and so very happy

[1:13:26] wow

[1:13:28] what an experience

[1:13:31] [Music]

[1:13:33] beautiful up here

[1:13:35] and you feel so safe

[1:13:37] and so protected

[1:13:39] [Music]

[1:13:42] you look around you

[1:13:44] and you can see fluffy white clouds

[1:13:47] everywhere

[1:13:51] you can almost touch them

[1:13:56] so for a few moments

[1:13:59] fly

[1:14:00] with the princess of the unicorns

[1:14:03] enjoying all that you see

[1:14:07] fly over her homeland

[1:14:10] and see the many beautiful things

[1:14:13] that you've never seen before

[1:14:16] so just fly and have fun

[1:14:19] [Music]

[1:14:57] [Music]

[1:17:19] the princess unicorn

[1:17:21] has shown you many things

[1:17:24] but she is tired now

[1:17:27] she is still only very young

[1:17:30] and she hasn't had her wings for very

[1:17:32] long

[1:17:34] so just like you

[1:17:35] she gets tired easily

[1:17:37] [Music]

[1:17:39] so she gently flies back down

[1:17:43] all the way down

[1:17:46] down to the ground

[1:17:48] [Applause]

[1:17:50] she lands

[1:17:52] very gently

[1:17:53] back on the ground

[1:17:56] and where she sets down is actually one

[1:18:00] of her favorite places to rest

[1:18:05] she lands just outside

[1:18:08] a beautiful cave

[1:18:11] she falls in her wings

[1:18:14] and you step down from her back

[1:18:16] [Music]

[1:18:18] the two of you walk

[1:18:20] to the entrance of the cave

[1:18:23] and she takes you inside

[1:18:26] she tells you that this

[1:18:29] is her very

[1:18:30] favorite place to be

[1:18:32] when she gets tired

[1:18:36] she tells you

[1:18:38] that it

[1:18:39] is her

[1:18:40] secret place

[1:18:42] and that only she knows about it

[1:18:44] [Music]

[1:18:46] but because you are so special

[1:18:50] she has told you too

[1:18:54] but it is a secret

[1:18:55] [Music]

[1:19:04] inside the cave

[1:19:06] are two

[1:19:07] very big

[1:19:09] beautiful beds

[1:19:13] and they are covered with the softest

[1:19:16] quilts

[1:19:17] and the biggest

[1:19:19] fluffiest pillows

[1:19:21] that you have ever seen

[1:19:26] can you see them

[1:19:34] she tells you

[1:19:35] that she is going to take a nap

[1:19:38] before she takes you back

[1:19:42] she tells you that one of the beds

[1:19:45] is just for you to rest on

[1:19:51] so the princess unicorn

[1:19:53] climbs

[1:19:54] on her beautiful bed

[1:19:57] and snuggles down under the wonderful

[1:19:59] soft quilt

[1:20:03] so you think to yourself that well

[1:20:06] maybe

[1:20:08] you should take a little nap too

[1:20:11] because it is very tiring flying

[1:20:14] and you did have a long journey to get

[1:20:16] here

[1:20:19] so you too

[1:20:21] climb up onto the softest bed in the

[1:20:23] world

[1:20:25] your bed

[1:20:28] and the quilt is so gentle

[1:20:31] and so warm on your skin

[1:20:35] oh so lovely

[1:20:40] you lay your head

[1:20:42] on the big

[1:20:43] fluffy pillows

[1:20:46] and you close your eyes

[1:20:50] and you feel so peaceful

[1:20:54] so relaxed

[1:20:57] and so calm

[1:21:00] and you think

[1:21:01] what a wonderful day you've had

[1:21:05] tiring day

[1:21:06] but absolutely

[1:21:08] wonderful

[1:21:11] and your eyes feel so heavy now

[1:21:15] [Music]

[1:21:16] and you feel very sleepy

[1:21:20] so very sleepy

[1:21:24] and you feel

[1:21:26] a gentle wave

[1:21:28] of sleepiness

[1:21:30] and it starts at your feet

[1:21:35] and you can feel your toes going to

[1:21:37] sleep

[1:21:39] and it feels all warm and tingly and

[1:21:43] ever so soft

[1:21:44] [Music]

[1:21:49] you feel this soothing gentle wave of

[1:21:52] sleepiness

[1:21:54] coming up your calves and your shins

[1:21:59] through your knees

[1:22:02] you can feel it as it goes up your

[1:22:04] thighs

[1:22:05] and you think that your legs have gone

[1:22:07] to sleep

[1:22:08] well that's because they have

[1:22:12] and you feel so very tired now

[1:22:17] so sleepy

[1:22:19] but so very happy

[1:22:23] and it feels

[1:22:25] like you can't open your eyes

[1:22:28] but that's okay

[1:22:30] because you don't want to open your eyes

[1:22:33] you want to keep them closed

[1:22:36] and you want to drift off

[1:22:39] into a beautiful sleep

[1:22:43] and this beautiful wave

[1:22:45] of sleepiness

[1:22:47] travels all the way

[1:22:49] up your body

[1:22:51] down your arms

[1:22:53] and into your hands

[1:22:57] making your body feel

[1:23:00] very

[1:23:01] very heavy

[1:23:05] very

[1:23:06] very tired

[1:23:09] but most of all

[1:23:11] very

[1:23:13] very sleepy

[1:23:15] [Music]

[1:23:17] and you yawn

[1:23:19] just a little bit

[1:23:23] this gentle warm wave of sleepiness

[1:23:28] travels up your face

[1:23:30] and over the top of your head

[1:23:35] and then down the back of your neck

[1:23:39] oh you feel so tired

[1:23:43] so

[1:23:44] so sleepy now

[1:23:49] and you feel

[1:23:51] nice and warm

[1:23:54] and so snuggly

[1:23:57] under your beautiful

[1:23:59] soft quilt

[1:24:02] and very

[1:24:03] fluffy

[1:24:05] squishy pillows

[1:24:06] [Music]

[1:24:09] so just have a little sleep

[1:24:13] just a little sleep

[1:24:17] because you can always travel home

[1:24:20] with the princess unicorn

[1:24:23] later on

[1:24:25] [Music]

[1:28:28] you

[1:28:30] [Music]

[1:34:04] you

[1:34:06] [Music]

[1:35:27] you

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, when properly designed. Guided meditations activate the nervous system's relaxation response through breath work, then anchor the anxious mind with specific sensory details and affirming narratives. The nearly five-million-view reach of this particular meditation, combined with parental testimony in comments and ratings, suggests broad effectiveness for childhood sleep and anxiety.
Fantasy bypasses the critical mind and creates a space of absolute safety where only the narrator's rules apply. A child might worry about a 'green field' being a real place, but a magical unicorn kingdom has no such vulnerabilities. Fantasy also invites imaginative participation rather than passive listening, which deepens engagement and strengthens the relaxation effect.
Nervous-system shifts can occur within the first five to ten minutes through breath work alone. However, the deeper benefits—internalized affirmations, the sense of being genuinely seen, the integration of self-worth—develop over repeated listening. Consistency matters more than length; children benefit most from regular exposure to the same meditation.
Yes, when embedded in narrative rather than stated as direct commands. The princess unicorn's message—'you must always believe in yourself and that you are so very special'—arrives as discovered truth within the story, not as imposed instruction.
