An Illuminated Life

An Illuminated Life is a spiritual workshop on mediumship and intuitive development, led by psychic medium Laura Lynne Jackson at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. Over a weekend, participants learn to open to what Jackson calls their "team of light": God energy, angels, spirit guides, and loved ones who have crossed over. It is open to anyone who wants to deepen their intuition, receive spiritual guidance, or connect with loved ones on the other side, with no prior experience required.

What to Expect

The workshop explores how to call in and open to the angelic realm, meet spirit guides, connect with loved ones who have died, and ask for and receive specific, tangible signs. The aim is to enlist your team of light as helpers in everyday life, in practical ways as well as profound ones. Jackson teaches that recognizing these signs and messages builds confidence in your path and your choices, and brings you into what she describes as the "flow of light" of the universe.

Together the group practices exercises meant to awaken and strengthen intuitive, clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient, claircognizant, and mediumistic abilities. Work includes group sessions and individual intuitive development, along with psychometry, the practice of reading the energy of a personal object. There is also gentle movement and an activity that uses cut-up magazine images.

The weekend begins Friday evening, with check-in from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and the first session from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday has sessions from 9:00 a.m. to noon and again from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. On Sunday the final session runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and check-out is at 1:00 p.m. The schedule may change at the faculty's discretion. Omega notes that this is one of its most popular workshops, likely drawing more than 500 participants, so registering early helps secure a seat and housing.

Laura Lynne Jackson is an international speaker, teacher, practicing psychic medium, and author. Her books include Guided: The Secret Path to an Illuminated Life, Signs: The Secret Language of the Universe, and The Light Between Us: Stories from Heaven. Lessons for the Living, all suggested reading for this workshop.

The Setting

The workshop takes place at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York. Guests can stay on campus in a range of lodging, from cabin rooms with private or shared baths to dorm singles, tent cabins, and camping on a pre-assigned site. Cabin rooms have heat and air-conditioning, while tent cabins have neither. Accommodation is booked separately and includes meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), optional classes, recreation, walking trails, parking, and other guest services. Those who live nearby can register as commuters, which also includes meals and use of the facilities.

Before You Go

Please bring an object that belonged to someone who has died, since you will practice psychometry with it. Also bring a notebook and three or four magazines you like and are fine with cutting up. Wear comfortable clothing for the gentle movement.

Tuition covers instruction and time in class with the faculty. Transportation, private readings, personal coaching, and Jackson's books are not included. The workshop is taught in English.
