Descrizione
Fully Being is a weekend meditation retreat led by Adam Kane at Drala Mountain Center in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, with the option to take part online from home. It offers a practical, embodied path of awareness, healing and insight, rooted in Tibetan Buddhism, for people new to meditation and for those who have studied with Tsoknyi Rinpoche or with Adam before.
What to Expect
Over the weekend, Adam guides participants through short, practical guided meditations, experiential exercises, presentations and group discussion. The teaching is interactive, with plenty of time for questions, and the pace is playful and relaxed rather than strenuous, even as the practices touch on profound themes.
The retreat is organized around the "four natural homes" of a healthy human being:
- Grounded Energy, the home of the body
- Essence Love, the home of the feeling world
- Natural Clarity, the home of the mind
- The Mere I, the home of wisdom
Practices such as vase breathing and handshake practice help release unnecessary tension and over-thinking. From there, participants rediscover essence love, the basic "okay"-ness at the heart of the feeling world, recognize natural clarity, and explore the "mere I," a playful, functional and healthy sense of self.
The program begins on Friday evening, with registration from 2 to 5 pm, a brief health and safety orientation at 5:30, then an opening circle, intention setting and an evening meditation. Saturday focuses on the first two natural homes, and Sunday on the third and fourth. Each day starts with personal practice, and the weekend closes at 4 pm on the final day for those not staying on. Quiet time in nature is part of the rhythm.
An optional fourth day, Going Deeper, follows on Monday. It offers mindfulness practices in the morning, relaxation after lunch, afternoon meditation, and opportunities for individual meditation instruction, closing at 4 pm.
