Description
Yoga at The Dalí brings a vinyasa practice into one of St. Petersburg, Florida's most imaginative spaces. Surrounded by the work of Salvador Dalí, with the waterfront just beyond the windows, the hour invites the body to move and the mind to loosen its grip, much as a surrealist painting loosens the everyday.
Lucky Cat Yoga offers this class on the third Sunday of each month at The Dalí Museum. It is an all-level yoga class, so first-timers and seasoned practitioners are equally at home. Whether you come for the movement, the stillness or the setting, the morning is shaped to let you practice at your own pace.
This listing also features Dali, an accredited meditation teacher, whose secular, barrier-dissolving approach to meditation suits the contemplative spirit of the morning.
What to Expect
The class is a vinyasa yoga session built around a few simple elements:
- Basic breath work to settle and arrive
- Postures offered for all levels
- Meditation and relaxation to close the practice
The Lucky Cat teachers encourage students to awaken and sustain their practice at their own pace, so there is room to find your own balance of effort and ease. The setting adds to the atmosphere: a museum known for its spiraling staircase and light-filled spaces, where the mind may settle differently than it does in a conventional studio.
About Dali
Dali is an accredited meditation teacher with the British School of Meditation, teaching since 2022. Born and raised in the North East of England, he is well travelled and now calls London home. He was introduced to meditation in India, a country close to his heart, and soon realised he wanted to share what he had experienced, in the hope that meditation could help others as it has helped him.
His approach is generally secular, borrowing from Buddhism and other belief systems and philosophies. He focuses on removing the barriers people meet in daily life, so that peace, calm and happiness have the best chance of being present.
Venue & Logistics
The class takes place at The Dalí Museum, One Dali Blvd., St. Petersburg, Florida, in the Raymond James Community Room or the Avant-garden, both with waterfront views. Bring your own yoga mat, as the Museum does not supply them. Arrive early to allow time for parking and admission, because doors close promptly at 9:15 AM and no entry is permitted after that.
Tickets are $10 for Museum members and $15 for non-members. Attendees can visit the galleries on the same day at half price. To register, select your date and proceed to checkout. All sales are final, with no exchanges or refunds. If you are new to class, please print and sign a waiver, and update it once a year.
