Description
Sunday morning at a museum is usually quiet, and this yoga class makes use of that. Yoga at The Dalí is a vinyasa yoga workshop in St. Petersburg, Florida, where breath, movement and stillness meet the waterfront light and the surrealist imagination that fills The Dalí Museum. It is a practice shaped as much by where you are as by what you do.
Held on the third Sunday of each month, the class is led by Lucky Cat Yoga and is open to all levels. Dali, a meditation teacher, is also part of this event, bringing a secular, accessible approach to meditation. For anyone in St. Petersburg looking for a yoga class that feels different from a studio, the monthly rhythm offers a steady, unhurried way back to the mat.
What to Expect
The Lucky Cats teach vinyasa yoga that weaves together basic breath work, postures, meditation and relaxation. Students are encouraged to awaken and sustain their practice at their own pace, with no pressure to match a prescribed form or compare yourself with anyone else.
Classes are held in the Raymond James Community Room or the Avant-garden, both with waterfront views. The museum setting becomes part of the practice, inviting you to notice where your body moves and how the space around you holds the room. Newcomers and experienced practitioners are both welcome, and basic instruction keeps the class approachable.
About Dali
Dali is an accredited meditation teacher with the British School of Meditation, teaching since 2022. Born and raised in the North East of England, he is well travelled and now calls London home. He was introduced to meditation in India, a country close to his heart, and soon realised he wanted to teach and share his experiences, in the hope that meditation could help others as it has helped him.
His approach is generally secular, while borrowing from Buddhism and other belief systems and philosophies. He focuses on removing the barriers people meet in daily life, so that peace, calm and happiness have the best chance of being present.
Venue & Logistics
The class takes place at The Dalí Museum, One Dali Blvd., St. Petersburg, Florida, in the Raymond James Community Room or the Avant-garden. Bring your own yoga mat, as the museum does not supply them. Arrive early to allow time for parking and admission, because doors close promptly at 9:15 AM and no entry is permitted after that.
Tickets are $10 for museum members and $15 for non-members. To register, select the date you would like to attend and proceed to checkout. All sales are final, with no exchanges or refunds. If you are new to class, print and sign a waiver, and update it once per year. Your class ticket also gets you half-off gallery admission on the same day.
