Papaji
Indian sage of advaita vedanta, direct disciple of Ramana Maharshi. After meeting Ramana in 1944 and recognizing his own self-nature, Papaji lived simply, working as a mining engineer until retirement, then drew thousands to his satsangs in Lucknow during the late 1980s and 1990s. His thunderous "Stop! Just be quiet!" became a transmission. He famously sent Mooji, Gangaji, and many other Western teachers out to share what they had received.
