Intuitive Mind: Working with Spirit Guides and Higher Consciousness

This spiritual workshop at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, is an invitation to quiet the analytical mind long enough to hear that voice, and to learn how to trust it.

Led by William Donius, creative insight researcher and methodology developer, with guest faculty Lori Sheridan, a certified psychic medium, Intuitive Mind: Working with Spirit Guides and Higher Consciousness brings together two approaches: brain-enhancing techniques grounded in neuroscience, and hands-on intuitive development. The weekend is for anyone who feels stuck, who wants clearer guidance in decisions, or who is curious about their connection to spirit guides and the unseen world.

What to Expect

Through easy-to-learn, experiential exercises, you will explore how opening neural pathways to your higher consciousness can bring insight into the places where you feel blocked. The work is practical rather than abstract, and each practice is meant to be something you can carry home and use.

- Recognizing how intuition speaks. Lori Sheridan guides you in noticing the different ways intuition communicates.
- Strengthening trust in inner guidance. Exercises help you build confidence in what you sense and know.
- Exploring spirit guides. You will explore your connection with spirit guides and the unseen world.
- Tools for real life. You will develop practices to use whenever you face important decisions or obstacles.

The intention is clarity and confidence, and the ability to keep working with these practices long after the workshop ends. The workshop is offered as a traditional weekend of two nights or a long weekend of three nights, and the extended stay includes additional workshop content.

William Donius is a creative insight researcher and methodology developer. He is the author of Thought Revolution: How to Unlock Your Inner Genius, which is recommended reading for this workshop. At Esalen, he draws on brain-enhancing techniques to help participants move past self-limiting patterns and open to their creative potential.

Guest faculty Lori Sheridan is a certified psychic medium who guides participants in exploring and developing their own intuitive abilities. She is the author of Soul Compass: Trusting Your Intuition and the Wisdom Within, also recommended reading.

Venue & Logistics

The workshop takes place at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, a contemplative setting well suited to inward work. Guests have access to the hot springs, and additional open classes are offered throughout the stay. Please bring a notebook or journal and a pen to capture your experiences and reflections.
