Question 1

Where exactly is Naropa Maitri IV held?

Accepted Answer

The event takes place at Drala Mountain Center, 151 Shambhala Way, Red Feather Lakes, CO 80545. It is a rental program, meaning the retreat is run by a hosting group on the center's grounds rather than as one of the center's own programs.

Question 2

Is Naropa Maitri IV run by Drala Mountain Center itself?

Accepted Answer

The listing is categorized under Rentals, so the program is hosted by an outside group that rents the facilities. For questions about the program's content, teachers, or registration, ask the front desk, who can point you to the right organizer.

Question 3

How long does Naropa Maitri IV run?

Accepted Answer

The listing describes a span of roughly two weeks, from April 2 to April 17, 2027. That is a long residential commitment, so plan for time away from work and daily routines rather than a weekend visit.

Question 4

How do I register or get tickets for Naropa Maitri IV?

Accepted Answer

The listing page does not include a registration form or pricing. Contact Drala Mountain Center at 1-970-881-2184 or frontdesk@dralamountain.org to ask how to enroll and who is handling bookings for this rental program.

Question 5

What is Maitri practice, and is it relevant to this event?

Accepted Answer

Maitri is a Sanskrit word meaning loving-kindness, and the name suggests a contemplative program in that spirit. The listing does not describe the curriculum, so confirm the specific practices and format with the organizers before registering.

Question 6

Who is Naropa Maitri IV likely to suit, and who might it not?

Accepted Answer

A multi-week retreat in a mountain setting suits people who can commit to an extended, immersive period of contemplative practice. It is likely a poor fit if you need a short or flexible schedule. Ask the organizers about prerequisites, since the listing does not state any.

Question 7

Who do I contact with questions about lodging or logistics at Drala Mountain Center?

Accepted Answer

Call the front desk at 1-970-881-2184 or email frontdesk@dralamountain.org. The listing does not detail accommodations, meals, or travel, so ask about these directly, along with the center's policies.
